@rajshamani I am Sushanta Sharma from Imphal, Manipur. I am your active subscriber and I must have listened to almost all of your podcasts and " Figuring It Out " is the only podcast I listen to. I thank you for bringing up the Manipur issues in your podcast, but few things really need clarification, 1 person who had been posted for sometime cannot at all justify the truth behind these issues.

I am writing to you formally on this.

I am apolitical, and I am neutral in this situation who is eagerly waiting for the peace to be prevail and grow like any other state in India.

1 fact I want to bring up here is that it was not the President, it was the Vice President Mr Jagdeep Dhankar. Like wise there are many facts prior to the 3rd May, 2023 unfortunate incidents and post 3rd May.

Hope you will listen to me like I have been listening to you.

what I want to point out about people in manipur having a mentality of "sloving things within themselves" is majorly because we were left to fend for ourselves for a very long time, with no one to look to for help. There were so many times when curfews were happening for months, inflation was off the roof, people died, but there was no response from the government and national media didn't even mention it. It was as if we were closed up in a box and put aside to do with the problems whatever we please. So, coming now and telling people to listen will take more of an effort, and personally think that when trust is established between the government and the public, people will automatically listen, as they do when they believe one has their best interest in mind and will not be left to fend of themselves alone.
