Surprising for me. I am a completely non finance person.... And yet last few days of research on Indian market gave me same conclusion of investing in defense, metals and energy sectors only. This makes me more confident. Unfortunately I am not very high net individual, or else I would have contacted the guest wealth management company. Clear thoughts and very timely video for me. Question I have is should I go lumpsum or sip. I have funds in my accounts. I am thinking of waiting for big bear and then go all in.

Why you compare with Bank nifty ?? Compare with Nifty 500 TRI which is benchmark for many flexi cap fund … and give rolling return of your investment strategy. You are running a PMS. Do you have calculated the brokerage and taxes on that or just giving the numbers from a small case OV where brokerage and taxes aren’t included. @Alok Agarwal good comparison between the current US market and Japan’s late-1980s bubble misses a vital point: real earnings and cash flow. While Japan's bubble was built on speculation, the US market is backed by immense corporate profitability. The US commands 50% of global market cap and generates 25% of world GDP, yet the S&P 500 trades at a reasonable 25x P/E multiple for its growth.

This isn't an unsustainable bubble it's a reflection of dominant, cash-generating powerhouses. The US is the premier place for capital. Don't miss out.

He's brilliant. When someone explains why he's saying what he's saying speaks volumes of his research and understanding.
The only thing that I'd disagree with him is that 'US markets will underperform India's'.

While that can happen in 20 yrs, but I don't see that happening in the next 5-10. The reasons are quite simple.
1. Many US companies are global. Google, Amzn, Meta are not doing billions of dollars of capex for nothing. If India and the rest of the world grows, their pie of earnings from international consumers inc.
2. Ignoring the semi-conductor and memory related stocks (AMD, NVDA, Micron, Intel, etc ), most of the US market has underperformed in the last 4 yrs or so. The NASDAQ has been mostly driven by these. So, while I see a rotation of capital, I don't necessarily see the capital largely flowing out of US (be it in other portions of tech or consumer stocks).
3. Except for financials and certain commodities, Indian mkts are still over-priced. You look at hotels, FMCG, construction, even transformers and power - everything is overpriced.
