If you'd have that crazy amount of money 10 - 20 cr with you than you should consider living in Mumbai on rent around 2-3 lacs a month in a central location in this busy city and invest the remaining amount in FD's, gold - silver, buy plots of land in tier 2 cities like Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara etc.and sell them or give it on rent to a developer and earn a decent amount from there too.
