Samay, not sure if you'll ever read this, but I wanted to share something with you.
Back in 2021, I interviewed your dad for an oral history project at Columbia University in New York. It was the first project of its kind documenting the experiences of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus, and my professor appreciated it so much that it was archived for future students. I remember sharing that feedback with Rajesh uncle, and it made him incredibly happy.
At the time, I'd been living outside India for several years. During our conversation, Rajesh uncle mentioned that his son was a famous comedian, but I had no idea who you were! I only became aware of you during the controversy, but I've only recently started following your work.
As a fellow Kashmiri, I just want to say how proud I feel watching what you've built. What you've done is special. You've found a way to process so much of our shared generational experience through humor without losing its emotional truth. In doing so, you're helping younger generations discover our history and connect with it in a way that feels real, accessible, and deeply human.
Thank you for that. Wishing you continued success, good health, and happiness. God bless you.
