This was one of those rare podcasts that leaves you both inspired and curious.
What stood out to me the most wasn’t Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla sir’s extraordinary achievements—it was how ordinary and genuine he came across. At no point did it feel like a celebrity sharing rehearsed wisdom. It felt like a sincere conversation with someone who happened to achieve something extraordinary. That, in itself, was incredibly motivating because it makes you feel that greatness isn’t reserved for a different kind of person.
One line that really stayed with me was when he said that if someone tells you, “It’s not that simple,” don’t let that discourage you. That advice was simple, practical, and empowering.
A special appreciation to Raj Shamani as well. Instead of making the conversation about accolades or headlines, he asked questions that revealed the mindset, curiosity, discipline, and human side behind the journey. Those are the conversations that truly inspire.
As a doctor, I also found the discussion on medical screening fascinating. The way he explained that every medical test and every fitness criterion has a scientific rationale—not just for the sake of having standards—really resonated with me. Conditions that are harmless on Earth can become significant in microgravity, and it reminded me how important medicine is in enabling human spaceflight.
Most importantly, I genuinely believe this podcast will have a lasting impact on many young viewers. A child who dreams of becoming a pilot, joining the Indian Air Force, or even pursuing science now has a much clearer picture of the mindset, preparation, and dedication required. Conversations like these don’t just celebrate role models—they help create the next generation of them.
Thank you, Raj, for bringing voices like Shubhanshu Shukla sir’s to such a wide audience. We need many more conversations like this.
