Since the ancient rocks of South India (example - at Lalbagh, Bengaluru) have a geological connection to Antarctica through Gondwana, I wonder if any life there and beneath Antarctica share very distant common ancestors. They’d be completely different today after millions of years of evolution specific to the environment, but it’s an interesting possibility.
